Creative approaches for presenting Christmas to an audience which is of a different culture?

I would love TED members' ideas & thoughts to inspire me! I will be spending time in Southeast Asia working with young women from troubled backgrounds. The coordinators have asked for me to present Christmas-themed theatre/games/songs and I am aware of the cultural & language differences..

Nov 6 2011: Christmass is not an spectacle or show for anything...is a christian tradition. You have not to "be creative"...just love and be loved. All the year. In Mexico is a very deep and strong tradition celebration.

Nov 10 2011: I would love to hear any ideas on GAMES or THEATRE which could be presented (ideally the theatre will be MIMES with MUSIC due to the language barrier).. A theme of love//hope/faith could be explored in these?.

Nov 6 2011: May I make the following suggestions? Christmas is a time to focus on the growth of love for each other. Use this as a theme for your celebrations. Have each person help in the development of the menu and preparing the food. Have a game about how each one can show love to a neighbor all year long, develop a cookbook with the women of their favorite foods and deserts and have them illustrate it, tell a story of love and growing in love, there are I am pretty sure south east Asian versions of our Christmas songs so look for some that were created in south east Asia if no have them create one,
    Best Wishes

Nov 7 2011: Thanks James for reminding me that it's about love. That's what I want to do..it's easy to get caught up in worrying about how to put it all together.
