  • Oct 2 2011: Jessica thank u,, well my question related more to architecture, how we express our cultural memory by design? what you have said " practicing what they usually do in that place, you know the way they dress, eat, express, language, gestures etc.. by the moment you start imitating the people around you, thats when you start building that cultural memory. " is so true and I think this is the first link to design.

Sep 29 2011: when you live in a place, you get to capture their culture by practicing what they usually do in that place, you know the way they dress, eat, express, language, gestures etc.. by the moment you start imitating the people around you, thats when you start building that cultural memory. but i dont know im just guessing and trying to find a logical explation to your question. How cultural memory be capture? you can take a person to an MRI scan, make a bunch of questions about their cultural background, see what part of the brain is the most active, take the picture of that, and there it is, haha im just kidding.
im not sure of what you are trying to ask, but well for what i understand i think you are trying to ask how the different cultures affect the mind of the person that works in generating design? i dont know if you are talking about architecture, fashion, computer design.im sorry if my answer didnt help you.
