We could begin to solve the world's problems if we ask: If I had 3 wishes what would I wish for? Then make a plan to have them materialize!

We all see the problems of the world. Many people even have a good idea of some of the solutions however they feel overwhelmed by the complexities of the problem and constraints of the economic factors. We can capitalize on the new realization that we must work together to protect our environment or we will suffer the consequences.

So I ask you, What are your 3 wishes? And how can you make them come true? Sometimes just verbalizing the wish or putting them in writing will be the first step toward making them come true. You never know, possibly another TEDster will rise to the cause and we can change the world for the better through ideas worth spreading.

Sep 9 2011: 1. Minor magnetic shift in conjunction with a solar flare blasts earths populous with DMT the natural result.
    2. The whole world will be awakend with a sense of "one-ness," and not thrown into total bedlam.
    3. Due to longer lifespans and the awareness/pineal boost, people start thinking not about the world in five years but in five-hundred.

That is the wish. Or just skip to number 3 through gradual adaptation of global economy and personal lifestyle choices. If not, oil and free market systems is just enough rope to hang ourselves.

Sep 6 2011: OK, now how are you going to make these great wishes come true. I have faith that you can!!! Imagine the world if you did have the knowledge and power to solve every problem. Which is the first one you want to pick after you finish making your milk and cookies!

Sep 6 2011: Well I think if people started caring about each other more changes could happen swiftly. It is hard to make people care about someone half the world away, I don't know if it is a defense mechanism or what.

If we could only teach empathy...

there ya go that's my wish, teach empathy... its the only one I need (plus the milk and cookies)

Sep 6 2011: OK now, How are you going to teach empathy world wide. If you think about it and come up with an actionable plan you may be able to change the world for the better. Michelle There are several TED talks about empathy, Have you seen them. You may decide to spread the word about them as a starter.
