    Aug 26 2011: Hi Jessica,
It is a choice. We can accept information provided by others, without question, and that becomes our reality. Or, we can take in all information, sift through it, and form our own reality. Our reality, is connected with our perception and interpretation of information. We know that many people can witness the same event and have very different perceptions of it? Our reality can be formed based on many different sources of information, so in my perception, it is important for me to remain open minded and open hearted to as much information as possible:>)

Aug 26 2011: I think, therefore I think my imagination will create my reality

Aug 26 2011: I was once walking and came upon a bison. My first thought was "He has headphones on." Obviously, upon further reflection, they were horns, scarey horns. My imagination tried to protect me.
  • Aug 26 2011: Reality is relative. What i see as real may not be the same to another. For example: the 1 dollar that I see is different than the 1 dollar seen by a baby or a child.
If imagination creates reality, how do plants which have no imagination have senses and also die.
    I think,
Reality is directly related to how much one is attracted to his body.
While awake, we are completely attached to our body and hence the question of reality arises.
But in deep sleep, we(our thoughts) are almost detached from our body and hence such question does not arise.

Aug 26 2011: Your imagination can help to create your reality.
Reality is what you think it is. In Holland we have a proverb that says: who does good meets good. The opposite is true as well.
If you do what feels good it is good and that feeling becomes your guideline through life. If thinking gets in the way you can walk astray.

Aug 26 2011: I think it's a mix of both. I think sometimes we do create our own reality as far as believing what we do, or how we go through life and reality, however, a lot of what we believe was taught to us by someone else. So I guess to me, there lies a contradiction.
  • Aug 26 2011: It's a good question !!! i think that there is a sort of reciprocity, in fact our reality is the base of our imagination : if we never see a thing around us, we 'll never be able to imagine it , that's what we call the reproducting imagination, consequently it's the reality which creates our imagination. But on the other hand, as imagination is not a determined ability , it has also a creative aspect but to my mind it's more an ability to mix things and combine it. Thus, imagination can potentially create our reality but if we want to realize it we should act.( the best example is the artist )

Aug 26 2011: Good Question. This post reminded me of a quote but I cant remeber where I read i t -" Imagination will make a river run with wine so for one wild moment we remember it runs with water". . There is a difference ( I think) between using your imagination to aviod an unpleasant situation ie: reality but or on the other hand it may help you apreciate reality even more so. So I would say yes. We do in a sense create our own reality but then again we dont . Ha I dont know really ! :) Good question though.
