2011: a year of revolution and change?

We all aware of whats going on around the world may it be discoveries in science and technology or revolution in Libya,Syria,London or India or the change in world economy.
What are your view towards the year 2011?
►is it a positive year or negative?
►a year of revolution?
►a year of invention or innovations or change?
►or it is been a normal year lik most others?
Since there are still 4 months to go you can discuss on the year till August or about the future also?

    Aug 31 2011: A year of revolution? For some absolutely! As for positive or negative, only time will tell. My fingers are crossed.

    Aug 28 2011: Year 2011 is definately a positive year, as 2011 is positive integer.

    Year of revolution? Possibly.

    Year of invention and innovation - definately. I'm not sure what exactly you consider a change? But possibly that too, there will certainly be a nonzero change from beginning of year 2010 to year 2011, even more same goes for seconds, minutes, hours, days, months,...

    I'm not sure what is a definition of "normal". But year 2011 is unique like any other year or day or whatever...

    Aug 20 2011: No, I think 2011 will be a holding action as the magnitude of the mess we are in slowly sinks in to the markets, and finally, the general population.

    I agree with the propsal suggested by Marco Lagi, Karla Z. Bertrand and Yaneer Bar-Yam in their paper "The Food Crises and Political Instability in North Africa and the Middle East" in which they note a trend in the food prices upward to the point that they have sparked revolution in the middle east will occur in 2012 or (optimistically) 2013.

    At which time it will overwhelm all of us.

    Aug 19 2011: I think 2011 is a year of positive revolution in the hands of the individuals that it matters most too. We are seeing people taking their lives and their futures in hand. Individuals are no longer being oppressed or lead by their government but becoming free and shaping their future. I just wish America could share in it. It seems we oppress ourselves more and more everyday and forgot that we are a government "of the people, for the people" not a goverment for big buisness or political gain. I think this has been a great year so far.

    Aug 19 2011: if another 9-11 happens tomorrow we wouldnt be shocked and surprised as the previous one right?

    So nothing is getting better anywhere in 2011.
