Is the TED site too slow for advanced operations like TED conversations?
It seems to me that TED is very slow. Is this speed adequate to support the great ambitions of TED?
Specifically, when I push a button, like submit or TED conversations, it takes 5-100 times as long to bring up the page. No other site does this to me. The reason I ask this question is simple. TED wants participants to donate time, which is by far the most precious commodity known to civilization. If I am going to contribute, it would be nice to have computing power that would allow seamless navigation at break neck speeds. I am actually not complaining, I am arguing for more speed so that the time I contribute is not spent waiting.
