How do you build a sustaining information-based internet community?
Crowd-sourcing is a ready phenomenon to be observed in many different communities (DIY Drones, Biocurious, Makers Faire), but these organizations seem to happen miraculously organically- that is, that they spring into being
How would you generate the momentum to create a community dedicated to a particular subject, to foster sustained collaboration? Or is the success of these communities an emergent property, and succeed naturally, if there is latent critical mass.
How do/can you build critical mass?
