What is your MYERS-BRIGG personality type?

It is interesting I think to know what personality types have what opinions, and even further so, interesting to see what personality types enjoy TED conversations. I do believe there is probably a difference in the free tests versus the real test but it is similar to the real results enough for a conversation like this.

I am an INTJ. What are you!!>??

Aug 16 2011: I have serious doubts about the reproducibility, accuracy, sensitivity, specificity and meaning of this kind of testing. I suspect everyone comes out feeling 'good' about themselves mostly by choosing the answers which one thinks most flattering to oneself. Furthermore, as in astrology and fortune cookies, there are no bad outcomes from taking the test: for example, has anyone ever been told they have a narcissistic personality disorder? I don't think so.

Aug 13 2011: I'm a personality test junkie. Run away!

    • Aug 13 2011: I love them too, I had forgotten my true MB and believed I was an INTP for a long time though :) check out the suggestion I made for a free DISC profile, gives you like 30 pages of insight to your strengths and weaknesses

Aug 13 2011: Where did you make this recommendation?
        • Aug 13 2011: The reply to the comment below this one, however I know the comment flow is never really the order it was originally in so I copied and pasted:

Tony Robbins has a free disc profile, speaking of other personality tests, that is free. It is under the experiences tab of his website listed as values/strengths assessment. It is really valuable- and worth doing since it is free!!!

    • Aug 13 2011: I had forgotten mine even though it was not all that long ago that I had taken the test.

    Aug 15 2011: Did test here: http://www.teamtechnology.co.uk and got ISTP 76% / ESTP 75% / INTP 70%
    On http://www.humanmetrics.com I'm an INTJ.
  • Aug 15 2011: I took a freely available test on humanmetrics.com and other website and I am an INTJ.
  • Aug 15 2011: I was in a room where a B-M questionaire was given and 28 of 31 were INTJ's.

All those INTJ's were Naval Aviators or Naval Flight Officers. Cool Huh!

Aug 15 2011: Hi Autumn I‘m an ENFP though 2 people on different occasions said to me that i am INTJ and INTP(one of them is INTP , the other INTJ). Many of my friends are INFPs and they enjoy Ted talks.

Aug 13 2011: INFP, definitely accurate.
  • Aug 13 2011: Unfortunatly, I have found myself completely unable to use this form of testing, for I display a wide variety of contradictory factors preventing me from truely analysing my personality with it. For example, I am somehow both extremely introverted and extraverted at the same time. It is my humble that these kinds of tests are unable to determine a person's true personality, for the human mind is by far too complex to be simplified by such things.

Aug 13 2011: If you look at the link I posted (http://www.mypersonality.info/gigim/), you can see that I am only slightly extroverted and perceiving, while strongly NT. They do register a scale and they usually do explain this in the analysis tools provided.

I find them handy for seeing how others perceive me, less for the revelation about myself. Apparently, I'm bossy. Seriously, I didn't see that in myself: I see myself as biting my tongue and really only taking over meetings etc. when they devolve into something I just can't take anymore, which in my book is not bossy, it's fixing something that is broken. Apparently, that doesn't make me any less bossy as far as other people are concerned.

Aug 13 2011: i don't know MBTI, but i know my socionics type, which is INTj. beware however, because it does not translate to neither INTP nor INTJ in MBTI directly, so i'm not sure about the last letter.
    • Aug 13 2011: I just looked up socionics type since I never heard of it before- there is an article on how P's look like J's at first, made me laugh! Tony Robbins has a free disc profile, speaking of other personality tests, that is free. It is under the experiences tab of his website listed as values/strengths assessment. It is really valuable- and worth doing since it is free!!!
