If you could create/invent anything- what would it be?

Either serious or not. E.g. Being able to capture smells/ having an online tool that would show you the world if you were short/longsighted!

Aug 21 2011: Falling falling.... Is this the rapture?

Your invented god needs to be put under a microscope and scrutinized.... Of course, it also needs to write a book.... Do something crazy miraculous like fly under water... And come up with a hedonistic afterlife..... Your invented god is cute! It's obediently doing what you want it to do... Taking a bit of a holiday... Getting in a boat and sailing across the pacific to see your brother....

          You make me think.
Imagine that, lo and behold, as we step beyond death, there really is a god; but this god is nothing at all like the dozens of gods we humans have conjured up over the eons. The first thing we find out is that THE REAL god is nothing more, nothing less than the source of creative power. That's it. Nothing else. It doesn't know what we did on earth, doesn't care. It welcomes us into the afterlife and says we can proceed to do whatever we'd like. That's it. No heaven, no rewards for being "good" while on earth, no instant re-unions with lost loved ones... Just being free to do whatever we want - not GET whatever we want - do whatever we want.

You really make me think Birdia.

Aug 11 2011: Green facility meant to require no more than 1 year of electrical supply, designed to destroy all kind of non recyclable and/or non reusable material, as well as recycle and clean materials, water and air. The idea is that the heat and gases produced by this destruction is stored and redistributed in the same facility in a way that no pollution is generated and that in no more than 1 year, the facility itself can maintain the operation with no additional power source. The purpose of this facility will be to prevent further pollution to the earth and minimize impact towards nature.

Aug 14 2011: How about opening an open and collaborative R&D project free to the industies and to the world and save money and effort? Anybody doing this?

The idea is to look into our daily routines and see what products we can suggest an improvement or more "green" alternative. Our great minds of course can also suggest new inventions as we are doing here.

David Sinclair did this with his successful structural "design" project and we can expand this to other areas as well.

Aug 13 2011: Develop a scientifically validated method for people to heal themselves. Can you imagine how society and the economic structure would transform if insurance companies, medical coalitions, and the pharmaceutical industry no longer had us at their mercy? :-D

    • Aug 11 2011: Well why don't you read the paragraph underneath the question at the top?
      • Aug 11 2011: i did, i thought they were suggestions to make your question more evident.

there is this wonderful movie i am sure you would enjoy, its called "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer"

its directed by Tom Tykwer and based on a book by Patrick Süskind.

it explores the realm of scent, and a persons overwhelming desire to capture scent.

the movie doesn't resolve anything, but it definitely compels.
