Sharing positive energy!

This week is national smile week. For my inspirational blog http://forthelma.wordpress.com I want to know what are some things that make people smile. I am all about inspiring others and motivating the youth. Please leave a comment on what makes you smile or what have you done to uplift a persons day!

    Sep 8 2011: A great song, another smile or just the beauty that surrounds me. I remember when I saw a blooming rose near my block of flats going to work one day in December and it was really nice so it made me smile.

    Sep 2 2011: For me, it being able to create something tangible, start to finish, by my own hands. Eg. crocheting, painting. There's a sense of pride in "I made that?!" And another of the things that makes me smile every day is my beautiful dog--picture is my profile pic. She's funny, sweet, and goofy--being able to spend time with her every day is very cool.

      Sep 2 2011: Thanks for sharing! I agree with you. A sense of accomplishment and knowing that it can be done is a great feeling! Also, dogs are a girls best friend as well. Nothing like a great pal!

    Aug 20 2011: Yesterday, as I was going out of a supermarket, there was that short lady struggling with a big trolley 120% full of food and things, I could barely see her behind and when she got inside the automatic circular way out (not sure if this is the correct name), she got kind of stuck and it made me smile as I could see that she was afraid of not being able to get out or maybe of feeling stupid or of being judged. Then she looked at me behind and as I was smiling at her (not laughing at her as I felt sorry for her as I couldn't help her as I was behind in the next cabin), she smiled back and she managed to get out. Was it the smile that helped her? I thought so;

    Some things that make people smile are when a special plane has landed back home here in the United States with our Troops Inside returning back from war, and standing outside happy & anxious are their families awaiting to be back in the arms of their loved ones.... Priceless and Smiles just keep going :)

    Aug 9 2011: I agree with Muhammad, babies or toddlers definitely make me smile automatically but the best laugh I get is when I notice I've done something daft. For example left my umbrella somewhere and have to fetch it, so much for my awareness training!

    Sent my friends a message today just to let them know I was thinking of them.

    Aug 9 2011: Cute babies make me smile.There's just something about them that's lovely.Even a baby's sneeze is enchanting to me.They're just magical.

    what have you done to uplift a persons day?
    I try to make good jokes just to make them laugh.We do need to laugh once in a while.
