On November 1st 2011( DATE CHANGE 12-12-12) we all stop buying cars from the auto manufactures and new car dealers. Date for action changed

My Idea will bring to the market what we all have been asking for: A low priced non-fossil fuel auto from the manufacturers. We don't need a $40,000 car that goes 120 miles and then takes 10 hours to charge. We need more and we need it now. I see no help from the auto manufacturing industry as they have no motivation. When every body pulls together and decides to just stop buying new cars a change will happen for sure.

    It may be looked as a great idea but we need to think of many aspects like how to solve the problem, what other initiatives can we use, and how do we tackle this this idea so that it could be accepted by everyone. But most importantly, how are we going to achieve that idea in a very short amount of time?

      Jul 27 2011: Thanks, I agree. However, if we stop buying the sellers will solve the problem. The big question is how to get everyone to hear the message.

        Jul 27 2011: I don't want to be the devil's advocate, but I don't think we will ever experience such a radical paradigm shift where all people change their behavior at a certain time and date... so what would you suggest we should do to be heard, how to start the movement instead of just talking a little about it?

          Jul 30 2011: date has changed to 12-12-12. we start spreading the word now. tell a friend and ask them to tell a friend and so on. soon we can raise money to start adverts.....

        Jul 27 2011: Rather than stop buying it, why don;t we try to directly give suggestion to the sellers since it is quite a problem to achieve it in a short amount of time because this kind of campaign needs a lot of money and work to be done. However, if the length of time is increased, i believe that your idea is definitely achievable. :)
