What is the Higgs boson and why do we want to find it?

    Jul 28 2011: The Higgs Boson or "God particle" is important because it is believed to be a key particle in the creation of the universe.
    It's the last piece still missing in the standard model of physics.

    Jul 26 2011: Good question. Sounds like we want to find it because it would help figure out the relationships between particles and their mediated forces, right?
