i propose that matter absorbs/creates time itself.
when matter 'loses' gravity, from a method of movement/propellation, i believe that time is also effected, for instance when you fly in an aeroplane you will lose/gain a few microseconds.
i'd be glad to be proved wrong.

i was actually prepared to accept that the theory was wrong, but it seems i could be thinking along the right path to what may be true.
basically the theory is that gravity itself creates time fluctations. if you are travelling in a jet, you displace gravity, and the effect of time upon yourself relative to someone on earth is different.
i will try to keep an eye on the results of the LHC and investigations they come up with.

the quotes around " 'loses' time" were there because i couldn't find the right word to describe what i meant simply. i think you understand what i mean, so kudos to you.
relativity seems to be the theories i am trying to investigate, but haven't had much time lately, what with problems with my computer lately.
it seems to be working ok now, so i will try to reply to many comments a lot sooner.
thanks for your time, Daniel Beringer ;)
