Could we find the cure to cancer if the entire world combined their resources?

Would it be possible in finding a cure for cancer in less than a year if the governments, the corporations, the financial institutions and scientists all over the world were to come together?

    Jul 12 2011: Throwing money and resources at cancer might lead to advances in some but not all cancers. Cancer is a large suite of diseases that respond differently to different treatments. Some is genetic some is environmental e.g. smoking and obesity. To answer your question---no.
