how information technology is useful to a very common man.

i want to do a research work for my phd. and i hope my project should be useful to a common mani.., what ever project i develop it should be used by a very first common man like farmer or a housewife like etc.my qualification is MCA.MTech. give me some idea about such type of projects

    Jul 9 2011: the project which i suggest is a complicated one but as you wish to serve every common man, it is going to be a needy task. Every individual on one day or the other has got to reach the door step of a government office and eventually he is landed into long waiting and corrupt officials. The only excuse these people cash in is, proper documents were not submitted or they say it other way one of the document is missing ,so postpone the task and make people to come the next day with proper documents. This problem is faced not only by the illiterate but also the one who is well learned.


    only reason for this is in no government office one can find what all the requirements need to be carried for every task. so if you could collect information and make it transparent and facilitate a website listing all government portals and their tasks which needs common man attention, and make such services information available and bring into light the odds faced by people , this brings everyone to your attention and this can eventually benefit everyone.

    This will ultimately reach the needy.....

    Very useful also in making our systems rightly governed by freedom (great dyanmism of diverse cultures and ideas), justice (accountability) and truth (transparency and understanding).

    Jul 4 2011: Information technology now is only confined to the city and the computer software companies.My suggestion is do a project such as implementing a software in the telephone for the purpose of automatic detection such as "Booking the gas through telephone is difficult as the officials do not respond correctly and for other services like 108 also".This software must resemble the process of recorded voice in telephones.The telephone must be interconnected to computer.For example when a person calls to book a gas,the call duration should be lasted for less than ten seconds that is-" It must automatically detect the phone number and the respective delivery date must be sent to their respective cell phone immediately.Similarly if a person call for immediate services like 108 then also the respective address of the phone number must be sent to the ambulance or other respective officials through fax.Expecting for your further doubts and suggestions....

    1. classify user classes(identify the exact user group you want to target).
    2. common man should have an access to your system.
    3. All common man(your user groups) should be educated to use your system.
