What are your feelings about bullying? Were you ever a bully? Were you ever a victim?

I had a peculiar experience with bullying - I was both a victim and a bully during my younger years. During my younger childhood, my home life negatively influenced my behavior in school and around people, which made me grow frustrated with my inability to control it and the unwillingness of other people to look past my facade of confidence. Once I realized how incredibly wrong I was to be taking out my frustration on anyone else, I became very reserved and, as a result, was bullied for bullying in the past. I am incredibly lucky, however, for discovering a way of distracting myself from the ruthlessness of middle school children - music. Had I not discovered my passion for music, I would not be here to write this conversation. Unlike me, many children succumb to their intense feelings of self-loathing and begin hurting themselves, or end up committing suicide. I greatly encourage you to open up during this TED conversation and reveal your true feelings about one of the most common forms of violence.
