project multiple movies in cinemas
cinemas these days require a lot of space. sometimes in one cinema there would be a full house, but in another there would be very few people. what i propose is a technological system that would display a different visual than someone else in the same cinema, looking at the same screen.
advanced systems could include ways of directing sound for one movie to a particular group of ears, as with the lighting being directed for a group of people who are watching the same movie in the same way.
sound direction is still a long way off, but could be compensated by simply using head/ear phones - perhaps through a bluetooth headset. as for visuals being a long way off, i suggest using an already existant 3D glasses-type-of-style technology to ensure the correct visual would be directed to the person's eyes.

Now imagine this: You are watching an intense drama sitting next to someone watching a hilarious comedy and keeps laughing every other minute.
Economically, the theaters will not make money if only a few people were to watch a movie they have rented the rights for.
Solution: Buy a home theater system.

perhaps noise-cancelling head/earphones for selective hearing for those you wish to hear? for instance, in a comedy you could cut out the voice of the loudest laugher.
