Are political parties an obstacle to democracy? Is "Real Democracy Now" another form of dictatorship? Are there any alternatives? How can economic interests be substituted for values? Can balance be attainable? Where is the change leading us? Is the media manipulating the direccion of the movement? Have the conspiracy answers been left aside? Is it possible to overcome the crisis without causing harm to the people who always end up being harmed?

You ask some very pertinent questions.
I think it is obvious to everyone with more than half a brain that the "system" that we currently find ourselves living with is not working and is not sustainable. It will end in time.
I came across this conversation while looking for an english language website which explains a bit about this "Spanish Revolution 15M". My Spanish is pretty poor.
Can you please let me know if you know of a link I should go to get up to speed on the principles and purpose of this movement.
Also, I would like to know what "the" or "your" answers are to the questions you raised above.
Thanks

I don't have any right answers but what I will say is that I agree with Jaime when he says "democracy" has extinguished and that the real obstacle to democracy is the same idea of democracy which was never compatible with the practice of democracy, there will always be a tyranny of the majority.
In my opinion, it is naive and absurd to believe that utopia is possible however there are alternatitives to the current situation it's just that unfortunately, so far, economic interests overpass values. I reckon we must highlight the urgent need to instill values in order to coexist in harmony. Change must occur in the individual more than in the system.
I really have no real answers, I'm still clueless myself.

These were the only links I found in English but I hear what you're saying...
Good link, by the way. :-)

What I liked about it is simple: it shows the so-called leaders that the "cockroaches" who are given the "right" to vote as a diluted illusion of democracy are getting really tired. More and more people are opening their eyes on what we refer to as a modern society and clearly see the fraud in it. At some point I had hopes that it would spread to other main cities across Europe, which it did but again it diluted pretty fast.
In these days, can we really hope for a 'Pacific' revolution? or should we skip the pacifism? Totalitarian Capitalism isn't pacific and neither is the way we are running our "globalization". I am for a one humanitarian world , but I am against what we are doing now. This isn't unity, this is a global, multilevel slavery.

I don't know, I'm thinking out loud now.
I'm against what is being done now too but, where is all this going? Is it the right approach?

...greed has poisoned mens soul,
has barricaded the world with hate,
has goosed up into misery and bloodshed.
We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in it.
Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want,
our knowledge has left us cynical,
our cleverness hard and unkind.
We think too much and feel too little.
More than machinery we need humanity,
more than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness...

I was just wondering the same thing, thinking how I could address the subject to make it more appealing. Although the main theme is the Spanish revolution I think any country living in "democracy" has experienced similar issues to a certain extent.
