More boats , better equipments, more people to catch fish for you....So you open a comapny.
Now you expand your business beyond Island... gain more money so once your company getting bigger and bigger.You will be sitting nice office in somewhere in Newyork or any big city, you will expand business different continents.
You will be hiring best business graduates to work for you , and yourself travelling from country to country just to look after everything is fine. Your company will go in to stock market , your business will grow even bigger, you may need a consultant , then you can even hire me, and being a friend I will work for a you for discount....
So then? asked the fishermen what about family?
Well you will take them for a week trip in an island in a year may be in your private jet, and your kids will be studying in best schools...
Then what ?
Once you will have enough money and old enough , you will start charity from part of your money and retire from business , and buy an island , build a small bamboo house , with wooden floor and spent time half year there, gazing at sky at night lying on beach.
The fishermen said why should I do so much hassle to come to the same point ?
Consultant asked what you mean?
Why I need to wait many years to give people's share, am I not doing that every day now ? As I catch only fish I need am I not keep others share in the sea so that other can catch at their convenience?
Every day I am having lot more time with family , why I need to go for a week holiday in an island like this after year long carzy work?
Why I need to send my kids to best school when everday I am teaching them how to live a good peaceful life?
I already have a bamboo house with wooden floor , why I need to wait until my retirement
Consultant said in his mind , no point talking an uneduacted guy who does not understand what a consultancy he got for free .....
So anyone is free to become the Fisherman or the Consultant..

I laughed at the time I heard the joke, then dissected it to open it up and enlarged with in me in the way as shared here and found it's great to be a Fisherman like one in the story.

Let me share a business joke I heard from a friend , which actually I took as not a mere joke but the way I percieved writing that way
Once a successful business consultant after completing a multi million dollar consulting project of a big corporate restructuring , thought to take a break so went to a quite unkown island alone for a couple of weeks vacation
Since he was there he saw a small boat tied in a rock a bit away from his rented leisure villa. Everyday a fisherman in the morning comes singing with a net with him, unties the boat and go for fishing a bit deep in the sea. Being a consultant he started collecting data in mind. And found this guy don't come any specific time in the morning and he does not fish for any specific time. Some day he comes back after an hour , some other after2 or so , but each time he goes back tying the boat singing with small sack full of something.
Being curious one day he went to the guy and asked what he does?
He told I go for fishing.
How much fish you catch every day
The amount I need for me and my family
Why your time spent in fishing is different ?
Depends availability of fish , but the moment I get enough I come back.
Then what you do?
I sell in bazaar and buy things needed for my family.
Consultant thought to give him some free consultancy to this poor guy as he has already made lot's of money
Told look, you are wasting your time and resource, you should catch fish as much as you can everyday say for 8 hours.
Then I have lot more fish those I don't need.
That's the point , you sell all those , and you will have extra money , you save that, then once you will buy bigger boat and better fishing equipment so you will get more , sell those you will own more money so will buy even bigger boat and more fish , sell you will get more , by that time you need not be fishermen any more , you will hire fishermen , they will catch fish for you....
