Is getting better than having?
Hello everyone, I'm new here.
With all the high-achievers here in the TED community I'm sure many of you will have an opinion on this question; is getting better than having?
By this I mean the act of working towards a goal being more enjoyable than achieving the goal itself.
Personally I prefer the time spent leading up to an achievement rather than the achievement itself. I notice both in myself and in my peers a certain temporary depression that follows the completion of a large project. Regardless of this post-project depression, it's the excitement and wonder of the chase/search that is for me the element that makes projects enjoyable.
