Islam and Evolution

There is no contradiction between Islam and Evolution. On the contrary there is evidence for evolution in Islam and in the history of Islamic civilization.
Islam and religion is not a scientific book. It is a way of life and how to live in harmony with all humanity. Islam urges us to use our brains and to think in a scientific way. If there is a scientific discovery that is absolutely true (although even science is relative). we don't have to find its proof in religious texts. If the religious texts contradicts the scientific facts. It means that we do not understand the religious text.

Feb 18 2011: Science is the measure of things. The characteristics of existence (to the extent we can perceive them) that we believe because they are proved to our "logic". What is logic to God? What is important to God: conjunction with our perceptions, our logic, our science or His own purposes? We are so vain to think He would reduce Himself to our understanding, our logic our science. I hope it makes Him laugh and does not anger Him that we would presume to know Him, to know what He knows, how He works and "thinks". I am laughing just writing this as it is so prepostorous.
Science helps us put things in order, so we feel "safe" from God. We can't put God "in order". LOL!
