What quotes move you?

"An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied." Arnold Glasow

I love quotes because they are a short synopsis of a transcending idea that can quickly be spread amongst friends.

I'd like to know some of your favorite quotes and where did you find them.

Here are some of mine:

In absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia-Henry Ward Beecher

Death will kill you once, but fear will kill you over and over again-Marcus Allen

Entrepreneur - individuals who seek neither advice nor approval from anyone or anything but their own vision of what their enterprise could one day become. - Mark Henricks

    -unknown

    Some more personal favorites:

You may not be her first, her last, or her only.
She loved before she may love again.
But if she loves you now, what else matters?
She's not perfect, you aren't either,
and the two of you may never be perfect together
but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice,
and admit to being human and making mistakes,
hold onto her and give her the most you can.
She may not be thinking about you
every second of the day, but she will give you a part of
her that she knows you can break her heart.
So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze
and don't expect more than she can give.
Smile when she maked you happy,
let her know when she makes you mad,
and miss her when she's not there.
    -Bob Marley.

May 10 2011: 1. No, I don't think it really matters who says the quote, but growing up learning from our brand name baby boomer parents, I think we do hold a higher standard to certain names vs others.
      2. I think this is a continuation of your first question, but like I said the name can add value depending on who its coming from, but the meaning or significance to the individual is more important.
      3. Not to be repetitive, but once again it all depends on how it relates to you, no two people are alike.

May 8 2011: Before starting this topic I watched the video by Eli Pariser: Beware online "filter bubbles"
    http://www.ted.com/talks/eli_pariser_beware_online_filter_bubbles.html.

It reminded me of this quote, "If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise". However Mr. Pariser states that we're no longer in control of what we filter or what we're limiting our choices to. If no one points out the faults in a system we can blindly follow their regulation of what we see.
