Who are you? Defined by your genetics and created by your human experience

If according to facts stated in the talks below, how can someone now learn their genetics in the fastest fashion to understand their subjective experience at a level where they now longer have to ask Why am I hear but understand now that their existence does count in this universe?

    Jun 27 2011: There are 2 answers to this question for me:

    On the grand scale I'm just a very small part of the universe's machine to converge energy and intellegence, just like everything else that is alive.

    On another level I'm just the person that I and only I know. It is said that you're preceived by everyone differently and it is never possible for someone else to know as much about yourself than you. Since you are the one defines, or by the standards of our society responsible for defining through speech and actions, who you are, you are really quite lonely in your own worlds which no body fully understands.

    In terms of genetics and other scientific methods of determining who you are, I think eventually we'll find out that we're all very similar. It's not rocket science that we're all descendants of some single cell organism. Look in this direction you may but I suspect very little you will find about who you are.

    Jun 9 2011: I personally do prefer reading stories...there's lots of them out there....the bible was the first one I introduced..when I was 15 I decided that I wanted to understand where the values of religion came from...but I stopped reading after the Fall of Eden...I think that the beautiful story told by Ishmael (the gorilla with mind power) explained the fall of eden as the turn to agriculture in our society...consumption is not the answer...and if you can define yourself as a consumer...then you may want to look back at your life and your choices and decide what ethical and moral choices you made that apparantly have no affect on anyone..including the starving, dying and abused....I prefer to think that when I dream at night, or make a wish that I always vibrate a positive energy that pushes out to the universe...it's not that nothing I do matters...it's everything I do matters....and that my friends...is FACT!!!!

    Apr 29 2011: Genetics gives you form, binding you in the concrete experience of existence and fact. While your form is all genetics the content of your being is all you.

      Apr 30 2011: You are only what you are then....so if we now know WHAT we are....how can we translate our subjective experience and our collective learning so that there is only one choice to be made right here and right now for the good of all?

          May 1 2011: As I understand it....according to 13.7 billion years ago...we now have the knowledge through a collective experience, a wisdom unknown to homo sapiens, that there is but one truth and one truth only....NOW it is time to take our experiences, our knowledge, our ability to alter the paths we now have....and to elongate our continuous evolution....our ability to now, through only our truth, tears, laughs, love, hate....truly make a difference to the longevity of our species....

    If Im reading this correctly it seem your asking...

    "Why should I bother learning about my genetic code when we don't mattter from a univeral perspective?"

    Please correct me if your saying something else..

    Of course we don't matter on a universal scale! On a universal scale, NOTHING Matters! You might even say some things...anti-matter :D

    However we don't live our day to day lives on a univeral scale. The things we do matter to the people we effect. Our lives have meaning to some, but won't if you don't give your life meaning.

    Why should we learn about and potentialy modify our genomes to take eveloution into our own hands? Cause it's cool! I don't mind if the universe is out to get me, I want to glow blue!
