What's your favorite word, and why?

I've always wondered what people's favorite word is and the meaning.

Mar 25 2014: proactivecrastination - because i made it up and it applies to anything done on the internet ;)
  • Mar 24 2014: If you are in crowd and I yell your name "Latisca !!" loudly. Then what would happen. You will turn your head back to find out who is yelling.

Name of the person is his/her most favorite word.Name of a person is very important to a person. When we come across with someone who shares our name then we get very excited. When see our name on a book written by us then we get very excited. When we see our name published in the book we get excited.

Everyone wants to earn name and fame. Fame is attached to name. Name of any person is immortal and makes the person immortal too.

So, each individual has the favorite word and that word is nothing but his/her name.

After that comes the secondary words which may be called as the favorite , but it will always be second favorite.

Mar 23 2014: "luxury"--it has a nice, soft, round sound, and I also like the idea of experiencing luxuriously
  • Mar 23 2014: Doodo
    Because it is positive.
As Ghandi said, nothing you do will make a bit of difference.
The only important thing is that you doodo. (it)
(I had to add the extra 'o' so that it would read correctly otherwise it would
look like the extinct bird, the dodo)
So it is actually read with a slight, ever so slight, pause after the first doo
and maybe even an inflection in the voice to accompany it.
Oh, I suppose I could have hyphenated it, or used a common comma, or several .......dots,
something like that but I decided to go with doo-do.
    Hope no one minds
It kind of envelops one of my own beliefs that one should not worry.
    Something good will happen.
    And if it doesn't?
    Don't worry.
    Something bad will happen.
  • Mar 19 2014: Requisite - a thing that is necessary for the achievement of a specified end.

I don't know why, but I have always liked this word above all others.

Mar 22 2014: I like that. I think our obstacles in life are our prerequisites to the next chapter.
      Thanks for your response!

Mar 24 2014: Interesting. I like the reasoning. I can't say my name is my favorite word, but I like your perspective. Thanks for sharing~

    Mar 23 2014: Alright!
I usually can't keep calm when something goes wrong with me, and at that time I usually think: "It's ok, alright!". I feel relax when this word in my mind.
  • Mar 23 2014: "askew" is one of them
Requisite is nice, as well as obstacle, and cleavage :-)

Mar 22 2014: LaTisca, I like the word ... NO. It is not said in vengence, spite, or hate. It is a decleration of what is correct and what is not. It places your desires immediately and unmistakenly at the forefront.

I consider that lack of use by some parents as cause for some of the ills of today.

I say no to my kids because I love them. To agree or allow everything is not love it is cowardice.

Just my view .... Be well. Bob.

Mar 24 2014: I respect that. No has always been a hard word for me, but you're right, to agree all the time isn't love, not genuine love anyway. Thanks for the response, Bob. Have a great one!
  • Mar 22 2014: My favourite word is cleavage. It might be because it contains the word vag.

Mar 22 2014: Interesting, yet honest.
Thanks for the response : )
      • Mar 23 2014: I was joking. Have you seen your avatar? My fav word is "GREEN" because it reminds me that there is a political movement of sanity out there in the wider world.

    Mar 20 2014: Why?

Mar 22 2014: Why is your favorite word or why as in why am I asking?
      • thumb
Mar 23 2014: Yes, and I'm answering at the same time that my favorite word is 'why'. :D
        • thumb
Mar 24 2014: I asked because I have noticed that some people tend to use more negative words, so I was wondering what people's favorites words are to see what kind of words they like.
  • Mar 20 2014: I guess my favorite word is why and it is the question that I almost always ask myself. Why do it? Why do it this way? and it is the question that is almost never answered in a design project.

Mar 22 2014: Good one! I love the word why, too. Sometimes it's hard to stop asking why.
      Thanks :)
