Sheena Iyengar on the art of choosing: Do we have choice after opting for a choice?

I did not had any choice in choosing the first conversation I wanted to start here as I was totally inspired by this talk. What do you think did I had choice? More importantly do we have choice after opting for a choice?

    Feb 17 2011: I think her talk does help reflect just how little control over our own lives we actually have as human beings. It's a scary thought, and it's no excuse for irresponsibility. What it does do though is encourage us to take control of as much of live as we indeed can and make the most of it, and not kick ourselves if it doesn't work out.

    Yes you had a choice in choosing your first conversation, as you made decisions in each of your experiences that each made an impact in the talk's impression on you. You always, always, importantly, have a choice to reflect on your decision and implicate what you've learned from it.

    I can assure you, we're still in control. :)
