Are Art and Reality Opposites?

How real is art?
There is one thing realistic in art: Crime forensic photography. When there is possible evidence in victim's genitalia, the police photographer or ID technician is required to make photos appear as real and convincing as possible. And that is realistic art.

Oct 28 2013: Of course in a purely materialistic sense, Fritzie below is right. Art usually emphesizes on perception, and perception is of course part of reality. The only escape from reality art can offer is: IMAGINATION. What you interpret from your perception can branch off from reality via imagination, (e.g. I see ghosts in that painting, ghosts aren't real).
