Martin Luther King Jr once said "Our lives begin to end, the day we become silent about things that matter".

The talk by Margaret Heffernan resonated with a personal experience and also underlined that the story would be little known were it not for the prominence of Margaret as a businesswoman with the resources to deliver a TED talk.

My story is that of a friend whose life ended in the process of speaking out about abandonjed and abused children in care. We were in the midst of social innovators, engaging on promnent public forums, pitching our cause to business and political leaders. As Bob Dylan sang in Hard Rain 'I heard ten thousand whisperin; and nobody listenin'"

  • Oct 22 2013: Indeed there is. The overall theme of what I've written is about the RICO activities described in our letter to USAID. We knew what was going on in 2006. There were photograpich records which were collated in this video 5 years later when mainstream media got hold of the story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp7t7SGPQ9M
