Where to live in the 21st century

Where's the best place to live, and why, in the second decade of the 21st century?
- a major metropolis like New York, London or Beijing.
- a smaller big city of 3-5 million.
- a much smaller city of fewer than a million people.
- a town of fewer than 50,000.
- a village of fewer than 1,000.
- or a rural area, farm, country cottage, with just you and your family.
- or somewhere else, not on his list.
Tell us of the place you live, or would like to live and why it's right for you.

    "- a village of fewer than 1,000"
where it meets our instincts best
and gives us invalid (harmful) happiness less.
