Suspend the Suspensions: Petition to Reinstate and/or Shorten Penalties upon Professional Athletes: http://wh.gov/l4CxT
My review of the scientific literature shows how suspensions of professional players may put the health of pro-athletes at risk. Suspensions in professional sports due to “doping” may cause pro athletes to incur a health risk of falling victim to multiple deadly disease processes.
My review of the scientific literature, included within my revised updated freelance article entitled, Anabolic Steroids May have Played a Major Role in Saving Lance Armstrong's Life from Advanced Stage 3 Cancer, can be found at the following URL address:
James Fix, the man who started the jogging craze, died of heart attack while jogging in July 1984, according to an article published in The New York Times previously cited above within this freelance article. Weekend warriors, whose training regimen are inconsistent, run the risk of setting into motion a chain of physiological events that can domino into catastrophic medical catastrophes for individuals. Likewise, when the training regimen of professional athletes is inconsistent due to long suspensions, injury, labor strikes, extended vacation time during off seasons, etc. etc., professional athletes run a risk of setting into motion a chain of physiological events that can domino into catastrophic medical catastrophes for professional athletes.
My advice to professional athletes who face long suspensions from the game they love is during the suspension feast on large amounts of fresh fish high in Omega 3 essential fatty acids, ( fish uncontaminated by radioactivity from Japan’s crushed nuclear reactors and oil contaminants resulting from the Gulf coast oil spill ) in order to modulate a hyper-immunological response that can trigger physiological inflammation leading toward adverse medical events.
Keep pro-Athletes well oiled, so they won't throw a rod.
