Has the loss of "physical production validation" in digital work, caused a lack of personal work discipline in these fields of employment?
At the end of the day a carpenter see's the physical embodiment of their labour in front of them at the end of the day. The software programmer or code writer doesn't have a desk full of wood chips or a floor full of sawdust as physical proof of their days work. Is this the reason for a lack of discipline in digital employment? Is this why there is so much social media on work time in stead of production?
