Aug 10 2013: No (special) fears. I'm seriously worried about the horrible perspective of asking to myself, when I'll become old, if I have taken advantage of my time of life on Earth to do useful (or beautiful, or helpful, or pleasant, or..) things, or if my best and frquent task has been wasting time...

      Aug 14 2013: Hello Sean,
I don't perceive time to ever be "wasted". Even if our time spent is less active, we can read, ponder, meditate, etc., and simply "BE" with an opportunity to learn. Is a perception of "wasting time" a judgment on our part?

Aug 15 2013: Hi ColleenI 'm not sure if I've been well understood. I agree with the terms of your statement (because I think similarly to you about that question) , but in addition, I'd like to explain a little more better my opinion. What I wanted to say, is that what I don't like is wasting my time, wandering without any defined purpose, an objective. I really think than sometimes resting quietly with our mind/body working slow,, it's very pleasant and sometimes an useful medicine. But after this, if one continues in that situation, it's probably to begin feeling bored, and as if wasting (a precious) time. This is a situation I consider not desirable at all.In my opinion a well balanced life should be composed of well balanced resting and/or reflection moments and tons of action. For me, ideal life is composed by a lot of action and some well placed moments of peace and quietfulness. I hope have been able to transmit correctly this opinion ...: )Greets.

Aug 15 2013: Thanks for your reply Sean. I think I understood, and it's always nice to clarify. We do indeed, often share some of the same perspectives:>)

As I age, I recall that I was a very active person....sometimes I wonder how the heck I did so many things in one day!!! With age, I have less energy, and that means less activity.

Sometimes, I evaluate my time and activity, and remind myself that it is ok if I did not do as much today. I totally agree.....a good life is balanced, and when we "know" ourselves, we find and experience that balance:>)
