US Department of State Travel Alerts.

The Department of State alerts U.S. citizens to the continued potential for terrorist attacks, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula.

The news has made a big deal out of this saying that NSA has collected data to support the warnings.

The countries named have been on the danger list, no travel list, and restricted list for a long time. For people like TEDstrs who stay abreast of news and events this is not news.

The debate is: Is the State Department attempting to boost confidence in NSA after the licking it has taken in the public eye. This appears to be a spin doctor maneuver.

Aug 7 2013: i would suggest that the NSA should send a personal letter to everyone considering visiting those countries.

Aug 7 2013: Ramadan ends tomorrow. Daylight fasting will end and the terrorist forces will return to their more familiar activity. They know full well that all their cell phone and email traffic is displayed in real time all over the DC corridor. They just released a few decoys to entertain themselves during the long hours without food, sex, swearing, etc. You can be sure they won't broadcast plans for any real attack.Things will return to normal soon. Everything the Administration does is a spin doctor maneuver.

Aug 8 2013: Everything should be better this time next week. O sent McCain and Graham to Egypt to get they stuff in one pair of pantyhose .... and O has refused to talk to Putin because Snowden is still in Russia.

Are we a diplomatic power house or what .... Remember the bomb shelters of the 50's .... just thinkin ...

      Thanks for the reply. Bob.
