What about giving all the cents of our paycheck to associations ?

Hello everyone,

FIrst of all I would like to apologize if you find some mistakes but english is not my first language.

When you receive your paycheck, there are always cents.
If I am paid 2345,67, the 67 cents don't have much value and giving them won't make me feel I am paid "less".

Employees could give the cents of their paycheck to associations though partnerships with their respective organizations.
Even better, a new association could collect the cents of employees who agreed and distribute them according a vote of the community, prizes...

Let's imagine it could reach 1 000 000 employees. We can assume that the average contribution would be 50cts a month. 0.50 x 1 000 000 = 500.000 dollars a month !

A really small contribution from everyone for a huge impact.

I would be really glad to discover you opinion about that and if someone is interested, I am starting working on it and am looking for partners.

Thank you very much taking the time to read this idea.

Romain

    Apr 15 2011: I like this,

Also I would like if every day every person in a nation gave a dollar to a giant lump sum, and everyday a random individual would receive the lump sum.

365 dollars a year for America is peanut money, for the majority of the world. I don't know sounds good in my head.

    Good thread.

    • Apr 13 2011: Years before the Superman movies, a programmer in a bank in New York was indicted for doing just that: in her program that calculated daily interest, she truncated decimal pennies instead of rounding them, then transferred the amount to her account. The auditors said she likely would never have been discovered had she not started turning up for work in a limo.
