Do you think religion has played a positive role in people's personal lives?is it neccessary or not?

They must refer to their wisdom or their beliefs?

Aug 5 2013: Referring to one's personal lives, I think this is an unfair question to be honest. It truly depends on the experiences each individual has had with religion and how that affected their life.

Personally, I have grown up around religion my whole life. I'm Muslim and I am thankful everyday for being born into it. I have learned so much about humanity, kindness, relationships, individuals and more by reading the Quran and learning about Islam. I would never have set my career around wanting to help people if it wasn't for the teachings I had as a child. I would never make sure to dress respectably and in that, learning to respect my own body as a woman if it was not for Islam. I would never make sure that every guy I want to be in a relationship with me has to respect me and treat me right. I would never have put so much thought into everything I say and do for my parents. The Quran always talks about being kind to your parents and I really love that.

Of course, I am not blind to all that goes in the social media about Islam and all that is negative. The people who are Muslim and did not like it, I really believe it is because they didn't have positive experiences with it. It really depends on everyone's situation and environment in my opinion.

Great Question! I hope I helped your thoughts untangle a bit!
