Is being over weight a moral failure?

Morality is the rule to maintain our symbiosis for survival.
"Over weight" weakens the symbiosis.
So, it is a "moral failure"

Tell me , what do you think?

Jul 29 2013: Oh God! No! It is not a "Moral Failure". Considering some people have genes which make it easier for them to be more fat. In some societies (as Salim Solaiman points out) being fat was viewed as a positive (reference to the Medieval Times). It greatly depends how you define "Moral Failure". There are a few Over Weight people I know who are very happy and satisfied with their life who do not worry about their "physical status".
