Do you think a Country should legalize Child Marriage and Slavery? Or pass into law that a female child should be married at age 13?

Child Marriage and Slavery, How can you subject a child of 13 years old to that kind of life?

A child who is yet to figure out her bearing in life, a child who has all rights to Education, Freedom, Expression. I think this is a violation of Child Act Rights.

What do you think about this?

Jul 23 2013: Such a country should be boycotted by the global economic community. To participate, in any way, in the continuation of such a government is to be guilty of participating in their hellish domination of helpless subjects. Further, help should be offered to those being helplessly subjected to such tyranny. This help takes the form of destabilization and overthrow of the corrupt leadership; liberation of the people; and establishment of a government based upon forming a more perfect union where each individual citizen can enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Aug 5 2013: If you're talking about Nigeria, teenaged mothers is the last thing you need. For a country with an uncontrolled population explosion - from 45 million to 170 million in the last 50 years and a doubling time of about 30 years! - what you need is for everyone to delay motherhood until age 30, and for as many as possible to forgo it.

For the rest, clearly everyone is against slavery and 13 year old brides.
  • Aug 5 2013: Slavery is a violation of human rights. But look at what shoes you're wearing - many children toiling-away making shoes & clothes for the paying populace. Probably the same for the cell-phones. Every country out there has their hand in the cookie-jar!

Have you actually seen child marriage or slavery? (If you have, it would seem to be an easy answer as-to what to do about it.)
I also believe, as usual the media have distorted facts. Economic inequalities are the pervasive forces against human rights.

Jul 30 2013: That would be a violation of Child Rights and Human Rights, Unthinkable, unimaginable, horrifying.
There are countries in the world where this is practiced, legally or not, which is even more horrifying.

Jul 23 2013: Jide would you like to reframe your question? like...

Do you know any country which qualifies for "hell on earth"?

Please let me know the name of the country you are talking about,I will send my enemies to live there.
  • Jul 23 2013: I think there is a conflict in the description of the question and the question itself. To answer the question directly: It's a straight out "No!"
  • Jul 23 2013: No No and No

Jul 22 2013: Why would any country pass a law with such a requirement for female children?
