I found the meaning of life

Every intellectual being has something they don't know.

Trust this, and you will trust everything! So let's all just have some fun!

I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID IT!

TOO MUCH EXCITEMENT

Learning is fun! Spread the word guys. Work with others. Learning is Fun.

Everyone has something they don't know. Everyone has a piece of the puzzle that no one else has. That is why they must share it for the greater purpose in life.

All just so we can maximize our fun. It doesn't matter what happens next of if you fail, just trust that it's fun. Even failing is fun because it's learning expressed in a different way. Failing is just giving you more pieces of the big puzzle. It tries to guide you to the next level awareness and that's just fun. Doesn't that sound fun? It doesn't matter what I say or what I do, there are just things I don't know but all I gotta do is trust that what happens next is fun and it doesn't matter what I do because anything I do is gonna be fun and anything I work with is gonna be fun. Just trust that it's all good and go with the flow. Going with the flow is fun. EVERYTHING IS FUN.

I can talk about this forever, and it's too fun!

Hahahahahahahahahahaa YES

I'm having too much fun with this.

Ahhh... I'm hungry.

What if we can live forever just so we can maximize our fun forever? Hmm that's a fun idea to play with...

Life is a toy. The universe is just one massive playground to play with.

This is fun.

Boredom is not fun. Let's not be bored.

I just solved the biggest puzzle ever! I can die happy now. Let's go people.

Jul 19 2013: "The true meaning of life is to live it to it's fullest and you seem to be doing that or want that."

Exactly! The future and the past sound like fun, but in the end it is the present that's already the best path because it's the most fun one to pursue.

Jul 18 2013: My old man use to say " You're not a man if you don't' know how to cook" So, he taught me how to cook.

Jul 19 2013: Shit, I don't know how to cook. haha, it's ok, I got this.
      • thumb
Jul 19 2013: James, you gotta learn how to cook. There is a lot to cook in the world, and even much more to eat.
I would have offered to teach you for a few days, but I'm a very expensive chef:)
        • thumb
Jul 19 2013: Dude, I've been amazed by the Chinese cooking. They have like 123021839012 dishes from just a single culture.

Haha, hey I'd also like to have a talk with you about movies too. Movies was actually my media thread, so I may have something you want to hear ;)

Jul 19 2013: Don't worry if you can't at this moment, it's something you don't need any education for, rather a good way to unhook, reconnect with a friend, your mum or dad, whoever is the chef in the family. I could go on but that would only do you a disservice and you're lucky, you have 10,000 years of choices if you choose to try it, literally.

There's something about cooking with fresh fresh vege's, something about energy.

  • Jul 19 2013: How would you know what is fun, if you had never been bored ?
    • thumb
Aug 1 2013: Oh I've been bored. When you have racing thoughts and then you suddenly have no more leads. That's when you meet a crossroad and ask yourself, "What's the point?"

If you answer "There is no point," then you start having suicidal thoughts.

If you answer "There is a meaning to life!" Then you are still possibly stuck there until someone from reality slaps some sense into you so you can return to real world.

  • Jul 18 2013: couldn't agree more. old proverb -wisdom is knowing how little you know.

I do not understand why people are afraid to say i do not know or ask questions.
    • thumb
Jul 18 2013: Indeed! There's always something that you don't know that someone else knows. That's what it means to not know and accept that reality.

Jul 18 2013: Good luck having fun if a loved one is dying a long, painful and expensive death. Good luck having fun if you get laid off and can't afford your child's college education.

There is a time and place for everything, including fun. But in order to experience life fully you must embrace all of it, the joy and the sorrow, the good and the bad, the fun and the not fun. There is such exquisite beauty to some very painful things, like heartbreak, and nothing about having your heart broken is fun.

By insisting the meaning of life is to have fun, you are by implication saying that the meaning of life is not to experience life fully. And that doesn't make sense.

Whether you think the glass is half empty or half full, it isn't bubbling over with the fizz of happy, happy, joy, joy.

    Jul 18 2013: .I think:

    The "meaning of life" is to keep our DNA alive;
ortherwise, there is no humankind in the world.

The "fun" comes from finding a way how to keep our DNA alive.

Jul 24 2013: "I found the meaning of life"

Yes you have: Life means precisely what you want it to mean. And the following is the reason, as given by one of my favorite New Age Books, A Course in Miracles:

Nothing in your world is real.
The meaning of everything is the meaning you give it.
You are who say you are, and your experience is what you say it is.

"Life is a toy. The universe is just one massive playground to play with."

Again, you're right. You see: You know more than you think you know. Remember this: Ignorance is an illusion. If you wish to know something that you think you don't know, just say that you do--I know. I know. I know.

Jul 19 2013: I've argued against this discovery of yours in several previous posts, but I watched a talk by Bob Thurman last night. He was the first American to be anointed a Tibetan Monk by the Dalai Lama and he pretty much said that THE MEANING OF LIFE IS FUN:

"I love that Leilei said that the way of helping those who are suffering badly on the physical plane or on other planes is having a good time, doing it by having a good time."

Even more to the point, he soon goes on to say:

"I think the key to saving the world, the key to compassion is that it is more fun. It should be done by fun. Generosity is more fun. That's the key. Everybody has the wrong idea. They think the Buddha was so boring, and they're so surprised when they meet Dalai Lama and he's fairly jolly."

Ah, so now I'm rethinking my whole position. http://www.ted.com/talks/bob_thurman_says_we_can_be_buddhas.html

My favorite blanket, that I have in my apartment was actually given to us by my grandma who passed away. I didn't really know her that well since she was in china, but I can feel the love. For some reason that blanket was my favorite even to this day.
  • Jul 19 2013: This just made me smile. Another intellectual was born :). I'm going to college as a freshman August 23rd and I'm so excited to just meet upperclassman intellectuals and professors so I can talk to them and learn. Those kinds of conversations are ridiculously fun. I was so limited in high school because everyone was so absorbed in fitting in. It seemed to be that being an intellectual was not a part of fitting in so people would dismiss it. Either that or they were just too stuck in the self esteem of maslow's pyramid and never could become intellectuals. Keep learning man. Lifes great when you find your meaning. Mines psychology :)

Jul 17 2013: I'm really happy for whatever it is you found, but it's not the meaning of life. At the risk of losing you're stranglehold on the idea of what you so joyfully now think it is, consider at least one of two things.

One, consider the Four Noble Truths, which state, and I paraphrase, that all life is pain and suffering, because we have wants and desires that are inherently unsatisfiable, but there remains the possibility of liberation from these sufferings through the Noble Eight-fold Path that leads to nirvana. But nirvana is not 'fun.' As you noticed in your opening remarks, 'Ahhh.. I'm hungry.' Already, in the midst of all that fun, you were experience dissatisfaction and an emptiness. You then pondered the possibility of living forever to have fun forever, except while you were contemplating this future you weren't living in and appreciating the present moment and whatever fun it had. Not happy with all the fun you had, you had to think of all the fun that could come. And as if I haven't belabored the point enough, you sensed boredom and had the experience of fear. I don't think you were at all serious when you introduced this as a topic of debate.

Or consider, Jean-Paul Sartre and existentialism. Life is inherently meaningless and whatever meaning it may obtain is whatever meaning was choose to give it. So at best, the meaning of life being to have fun is the meaning of your life that you have chosen to get it, but by no means is the meaning of everyone or anyone else's life.

You sound like a lotus-eater and all this manic talk of fun, fun, fun reminds me of a more appropriate and probable line from 'Song of the Lotus-Eaters' by Alfred, Lord Tennyson: "There is no joy but calm." That's what my inner spirit sings; you sound like one of the mariners.

Jul 19 2013: "One, consider the Four Noble Truths, which state, and I paraphrase, that all life is pain and suffering"

Do you want to live a life of pain and suffering? You would probably want to avoid it at all costs. OVERexcitement needs to be balanced with OVERcaution.

Also, I wanted you to know that I feel really calm right now. Happy, but calm.

Thanks for your post, it's a little too long to read for now, I'll try to find time to read it in the future.
  • Jul 22 2013: “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”

Jul 19 2013: Nice to see so much excitement packed in one post.

Reminds me of the time I had a psychosis and thought I understood the whole of reality... Sadly it was a feeling rather than an understanding, and as I got my sanity back, reality started to kick in too.

I could start to point out that fun is not the goal of evolution, let alone that we humans are the summit of evolution and need to have fun all the time... we don't operate like that.

Yes, this might sound a bit rash, but your writings seem to be manic.
I do hope you can keep the feeling and still function well in your surroundings. And I do hope you have a lot of fun.

And while playing: don't play with 5kg of enriched uranium... as that might be a bit troublesome for others ;-)

Jul 18 2013: James, I come from Bengal, the eastern part of India and the sovereign country of Bangladesh culturally. We have this brilliant writer of nonsense fun genre Sukumar Ray (like say, Lewis Carroll). In one of his stories we have this man, a tramp, who sits underneath a tree and laughs his heart out. When asked why he laughs, what is so funny, he replies, between peals of laughter 'See, its so funny (hahahaha....) how sun rises, and its so hilarious that everyone wakes up and goes to work (hahahaha), you see birds are so funny that they are flying.... and don't you think it is so funny that earth spins like a top (hahahaha)....' [Sukumar happens to be the father of Satyajit Ray, the renowned film director.]
It is great to be able to laugh at the absurdity of it all. Please have fun and let it turn to joy in time.

Jul 19 2013: I think I'd just sit under the tree shade today; and laugh at the chirping of the birds, and at the wind rustling through the leaves.

Jul 20 2013: After reading your post here it reminded me of this. I got kicked out of a bar like this just 2 nights ago:

ME: Hey, you down with Samscratch or the Ram?
      ...Wha.. Who is Samscratch?
ME: I'm down with the Ram tonight! You down with the Ram tonight too, you just don't know it!!!
      Who is Samscratch?
ME: Samscratch lives on Monkey Salad Island, he is a pirate, and he fights THE RAM. Tonight I'm fighting Samscratch. But tomorrow morning... I will be down with Samscratch and will be fighting THE RAM.

The next thing I knew a bouncer walk up to me telling me I had to leave. I stood my ground asking, why? I got, you had to much to drink and you saying weird things and bothering the customers. I told him he was a slave to that bitch behind the bar and I did nothing to offend anyone. She is pissed off because she just can't "figure me out" and I wasn't even talking to her.

They never got to find out what I was talking about, which is drinking and having a good time verses the very laid back side of myself. I usually get to finish the spill of nonsense that eventually leads to them understanding what it is that I am talking about. The more questions they ask the more they are to understand and laugh.

THE RAM was beating me hard last morning but I always come out ahead in a few hours. Samscratch is wise and he always says not to do that ever again nicely. I don't know how he can say this so many times with out getting angry. :)
