What is YOUR idea for a Ted Conversation?

Let's say you were given $1 million.
What is the BEST way you think to spend it in order to solve society's issues?

No idea is a stupid idea. All of you guys on here are capable of a COMPELLING Ted Conversation.

  • Jul 17 2013: I would collect and compile ideas and conversations from TED comments and build a Wiki for each TED topic that organized sub-topics.

I might also take the 100 best and get Nature, Discovery, Scientific American, or some similar high volume established periodical to publish the works and point to TED as a source of these ideas.

Jul 17 2013: Yo that's brilliant thinking. Google Docs or a wikia is my recommendation. Oh wait! I know a Google Doc that has a list of ALL the TedTalks in counting.

      Let's start from there.

Setting a foundation is GOOD. Just gotta go through everything one step at a time. No need to be urgent, just go at your own pacing.
      • Jul 17 2013: Yes, it is a bit daunting, but a million dollars might help get it done. Organizing and assimilating the the comments from conversations, the comments and talks, and the comments and conferences would be an epic puzzle and collaboration. Might even makea neat WORKING TED Conference, perhaps titled-How will you help define the puzzles?

Still, so many great points and short lines of thought...a few masters might be able to assemble them together in a significant new opinion, hypothesis, or idea. Attacking such an undertaking effectively with such an eclectic group of people would require an innovative program plan.

Jul 17 2013: Indeed it is. But don't bite more than you can chew. Just go at your own pace, whatever you feel is comfortable, and good things will turn out. Patience!

I can't say more because I need to exercise as much control as possible. Good things are coming though :)

Jul 17 2013: I would organize a Mandela concert in Johannesburg to raise more money. Then we can talk a bit more about solving problems.

      Can we make everything fun?

Jul 19 2013: Of course we are capable, James, if you would just leave us some topics... :

IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE: The dangers of high speed learning.
    I've been moving too fast.

      Aug 1 2013: Sup Lejan,

So as Cristophe Cop has said, I probably was going through a manic phase and I did go through Psychosis when I went to the hospital. My posts are what you may call "recklessness".

However, I have calmed and wisened, and I'm beginning to control my mind to exercise more caution while generating awesome ideas.

Excitement is great! But overexcitement can kill.

However, I won't change my stance on that the Meaning of Life is Fun. If you're not having fun, then something's wrong. I'm sticking with this conviction to the end, and I don't regret anything that I've done.

Aug 3 2013: Relax, James, I was just joking ..., indicated by this little happy emoticon at the end of my above comment.

Anyway, good to know that you calmed & wisened and that you are back on track.
