What's your million-dollar idea to change the world?

Every year, the TED Prize is given to one innovative thinker who has what it takes to make a difference -- by putting one million dollars into action in order to fulfill a world-changing vision.

Since nominations are open for the 2014 TED Prize, we wanted to put our heads together with you, the TED community, and brainstorm even further: How would you choose to make an impact with one million dollars? What would you like to see as next year's TED Prize wish to inspire the world?

This is a space for you to get your mental gears turning. If you would like to officially nominate a mentor, colleague, friend -- or even yourself -- head to www.tedprize.org by Sunday, June 16.

  • May 29 2013: 2nd Companion Topic : Beyond NASA Nuclear Reactor For the Moon

    Previous Comment:
I love the idea of using wasted cells that have 90% usability still left in them for further fuel cells. HOWEVER we have this thing called the Strategic Arms treaty which prevents us from doing this. Countries like France do this and it works well. Politics are killing us from doing this.

Question: Did Europe, China and Japan sign this "Strategic Arms Treaty ?
We only signed it and put our head in the sand ? That's obsolete now ! France and Germany is not pursuing Nuclear but China is doing so in a big way and that's why the MIT group is focusing on PPP alliance in China.

Conversation: Gallant Knights Technology Innovation In Horizon__Sustainable New Electricity Source For Humanity

There is a 3rd player in this technology innovation competition, NASA. NASA is designing a small reactor for use on the Moon surface application station. But the key is a breakthrough here on earth application that will help a lot of poor people in America with a "breakthrough" on this technology innovation challange.

    1st Companion Topic:

There is a companion technology that needs to come into this equation that hasn't yet come for America before the next after perhaps the next big hurricane strike here in Northern Virginia community for America to wake up to this challange. That "companion" is on the frontier of electricity distribution, ie, superconductivity application.
