Should private tutoring which are used in South Korea to get better grades be also done in U.S?

I've heard that president Obama has made a speech talking about Korea's education systems, and he told the people that the students will be studying whlie he is making that speech, but that's kind of a nonsence. I'm now a student of South Korea and my private tutoring ends at 11:30 pm, and I go to sleep between 12-2. Do you think that this is a thing to endure to get a nice grade? What should be prioritized? Physical&mental growth? Or an A+?

    How many hours a day do you spend with your tutors? And if you don't get to sleep until 12-2am, when do you wake up?
