If you have NEVER been to Africa, when someone mentions "Africa" or you hear "Africa", what is the FIRST thing that comes into your mind?

People associate different regions/continent based on media, informational material, myths, stereotypes and such. The main idea of this discussion is to find out what people who never had "first hand experience" think about the continent. Thanks for your contribution.

      Apr 11 2013: Hey Lee,

Thanks for sharing and publicly declaring your interest of conservation work.
You are so welcome to many African countries that are home of King of the Jungle.....
Make your interest come true....Are your looking for opportunities or it is work in progress?
      Thanks

      Love, Mary
      • Apr 11 2013: Hi Mary,

I've just finished some conservation work for the RSPB in the UK and am now in the process of moving my business from home into an office and I'm currently in the process of selling my home in order to release some capital and free myself from debt burdens.

I have had a little look online for some conservation opportunities in Africa, but many seem to be quite expensive and I will not be able to travel until after the sale of my house completes (2-3 months)

If you have any pointers for me that would be great.

        Peace and love

        Lee
