If you have NEVER been to Africa, when someone mentions "Africa" or you hear "Africa", what is the FIRST thing that comes into your mind?

People associate different regions/continent based on media, informational material, myths, stereotypes and such. The main idea of this discussion is to find out what people who never had "first hand experience" think about the continent. Thanks for your contribution.

      Apr 13 2013: Hey Edward,
Hahaha I know about hailstone ( We used to use cup and collect them and eat as icecream)... As for UAE passed through qatar airport once ( it was hot and humid)...not my cup of tea. And from many friends who have worked and done business in/with UAE...it quiet different from African feel and culture....I am originally from Kenya and my biased opinion is that Africa has an open platform for social interaction compared for instance to UAE and USA. Africans welcome people with open hands...I think because of sense of community belonging.....
      Catch up on skype laterz....
      Love, Mary
