If you have NEVER been to Africa, when someone mentions "Africa" or you hear "Africa", what is the FIRST thing that comes into your mind?

People associate different regions/continent based on media, informational material, myths, stereotypes and such. The main idea of this discussion is to find out what people who never had "first hand experience" think about the continent. Thanks for your contribution.

Apr 11 2013: Hi Jose Maria

Thanks for sharing...and the whole idea of sharing was to see what you know when you have never been there. I can see that you are on point. Africa as a continent is relatively known to be sunny year round.....not forgetting the King of the Jungle....and yes people in Africa are generally happy and I hope we as humanity will work towards ending human hunger. We have enough resources, it is a matter of utilization and resourcefulness that matters...
NB/ Visit and witness the goodness of mother Africa...
      Love, Mary
