Samsung's 2013 & 2014 Technology, Is it Worth it?

Samsund has planned to launch their new older display as a flexible phone. meaning a phone that can just bend because it uses flexible leds inside a fiberplastic and silicon case, now my question is, is it worth it for samsung to make a phone that is flexible? What is the point? Also don't you think it may be irritating to the user if they try typing on it unless it is on a hard surface.
