will female- dominated early educational system be responsible for producing today's more feminised male?
This is an issue raised nationwide not long ago in China. As a one that studies early childhood education, I don't buy it. First, I wonder if the increase of feminised male is the only phenomenon in China or elsewhere (more representation from pop culture, though). Second, I'm deeply troubled by this issue -- on the one hand I do feel more balanced teaching staff in both genders will be nice as role-modeling is a strong debate to go against female-only early childhood education. On the other hand, I think it more as social issue that many social factors have to be taken into consideration. Say, 4-2-1 family structure makes the only child the true gem in the family and parents as well as grandparents tend to care too much. Also, child protection and child safety have come to such an alerting level that teachers and schools dare not challenge children (unfortunately including boys) to do things that they used to do, which could be true in most countries of today. To think further, society is not as safe as before and thus requires parents and schools to have more supervision, which in turn limits children's wilder exploration in a way. But my question is more about whether the dominance of FEMALE teachers has to take the blame. When adult male role is missing in school setting, should little boys stand up and take up a more masculine role to balance things out? When I had to struggle for a living with my two little boys, my elder one said to me, "mom, I'll protect you." Though male and female are born equal, their brains have been proven wired differently in some ways. Should we rethink early childhood education? Or it's OK if males become more feminised?

Still, it will be beautiful if both male and female find their representation in early childhood educator's team. But, if the male takes up a job of being a daycare worker, will he be viewed as more feminine? (Note: I do see the terms of feminine and masculine will contain different definitions. It's also fair to say both genders possess the two characteristics to different degree at the same time.)

In the 1900-1980ish most mom most mom where stay at home moms and stayed there to raise their kids. Dads went to work and was "discipline" to the child as well as play catch.
1980ish - to present both parents are working so some stranger raises their kids (daycare).
Men are Metro sexual because we take showers daily, wear deodorant, perfume de la toilet, put gel and style are hair ----very much more famine
"true men" the ones that we around alot longer then us metro sexual men, didn't shower regularly, didn't groomed their hair, shave their beards and most certainly did not wear deodorant.
When men marry a women they expect her to clean up after them, cook ....everything their mom did for them when they were little kids
In this artical all the things the wives complain about is the husband being a lazy slob and not cleaning up after them self. The husband mainly complain that the wives need to boost their self esteem

1. Throughout all cultures men have taken care of themselves to some extent, whether it be braiding their hair/beards, to putting on face paint, or to doing anything to make themselves look better. In today's culture, yes it is common to do all the things you described ( deodarant, shaving, showering) but that is simply because of convenience. 200 years ago men didnt have deodarant as an option, or showering as an option, or even easily-accesable razors as an option. I believe that the main reason we see men today doing these things is because of how easy it is to get too. I do all 3 of those above things, and it takes no longer than 15 minutes, which isnt very metrosexual. The definition of metrosexual is taking care of ones appearance in a very feminine way, which is much longer then 15 minutes of time.
And for the 2nd point, many men want their wives to fulfill the 'stereotypical woman' role of cooking and cleaning. I think this is because of our culture and our past, not because of our mom's, but this is just an opinion, as is your second point.

What is masculine and what is feminine?
A huge aspect of many of our current problems is that they got started in a culture of well defined gender roles, enforced by myriad social and legal limitations. Before we start worrying about boys becoming feminised, perhaps we should do our best to treat people as just people and let the next generation determine their own notions of feminine and masculine. Give personal freedom a chance.
