US Foreign Aid
John Kerry immediately decided to give more money to Egypt and Syria. The US currently gives 17.8 billion for military assistance and 31.7 billion for economic assistance and now another 310 million to Egypt and Syria. These are not the only give aways the US provides. We give almost 80% of the operating costs o the UN ... and the list goes on.
The US has officially passed the ratio of debit to GDP (into the negative), Businesses are laying off at a record pace, business are going bankrupt, we are on the very edge of inflation and depression and yet continue spending and enlarging the government.
At what point should the US concentrate on OUR economy and the welfare of the US citizens.
The US has not reaped any rewards for the years of give away money to countries ... most of which hate the US ... Our "buy a buddy" foriegn policy has never made sense .... is it time to evaluate our policies?
People will make the argument that kids will suffer ... after 20 years of give aways they are still suffering .... The weapons used in the Bengasi killings were identified as some of the ones the CIA gave away.
As we look at all sorts of cliffs .... party line politics ..... the media and political finger pointing game ..... and yet we continue to barrow money from China that we cannot even afford to pay the interest on ...
Is it time to heal our selves?

Alan Schreiner
We spent about a trillion dollars on the Iraq war, which could hardly be considered "foreign aid" considering the loss of life, despite the removal of their oppressive leadership. The foreign aid you are referring to has, aside from the amount given to Egypt recently, been a drop in the bucket of our budget, and generally a good thing.
We spend much more on domestic aid to help our own poor in the form of unemployment, tax credits, welfare, etc., as we should. Not everyone gets help but a lot do. We DO "heal ourselves" as you say to a degree. Could we stop foreign aid? Maybe some other country would step in to stop people from dying of starvation. Or maybe those people we help would just die. You're playing god on any side of that decision. I do think that a better, more powerful, more functional, and more representative United Nations, would be able to guide such things. Might as well look for a Unicorn though.

Politicians have made this an art on itself.
I think we need to set some priorities on what we agree is important.
What does a person need in order to survive in the US.
first priority is fresh air and fresh water.
Without air you are dead in minutes and without water you die in days.
Second priority is food cause without it you will die in weeks.
US should be self-sufficient in food.
US should have a stock for a year
third priority is housing.
Everybody needs a home.
fourth priority is safety.
There should be sufficient police on our streets and the solving more thefts and crimes.
Dealing on the streets is unacceptable and if the officers don't dare to do something about it replace them.
Also the US army is subject to safety. But it's ridiculously and unneceserily large.
It's big enough to attack 90% of the world at the same time.
fifth priority is economy and job.
I shall say make it easier to start a business.
Lessen the tax rate for new businesses.
seventh priority is energy.
energy companies should be nationalized.
Inhabitants don't need to be ripped of for energy.
When all the priorities are met, you can start thinking of throwing money at other countries.

Isn't barrow is spelled borrow? Unless of course you are talking about a male pig castrated before maturity? Not to grammar nanny you but I have seen you misspell this word before.
