As life is a part of death. From this, can't it be said too that people are placed in our life for a reason?

There is no such thing as chance. Whatever happens in our life happens for a reason. What happens gives us a chance to become better people, depending how we react to it.

The two extremes of what can happen to us, is that the good happens from His will. While the worst that could happen to us, is from His permission. There are also reasons for the timing of our death.

Obviously there is a whole lot more to this than one sentence can say.
