How many people total have died because of nuclear accidents?
It's a simple enough question, but if you answer I expect references. Also I don't want to know how many people might die in the next 50 years but how many are dead now. It just seems so hard to get an answer to what should be an easy question.

If you include Chernobyl, for every 1 death caused by nuclear power, 4000 deaths are caused from the stages of coal power development.

Ironically Nuclear power has consistently proven itself to be safer, less dangerous to the environment, substantially less of an issue towards climate change and equal to or less radioactive and mercury filled when we compare coal ash to reactor water, yet most consider nuclear power to be far too dangerous;
Kind of like arguing that shooting at each other with handguns is a better alternative to using spears..
