How can we think about the future without having a bad feeling?

i'm a student and i know that i have a future but it is so difficult to be good enough for what i want that it is impossivel to me look to my future without having a bad feeling...

Closing Statement from Débora Correia

I still thinking that it´s to difficult to be good enough, but now i see that the most important it is not what we gonna do in our future but what we will feel and change with it. Somethings we can control, others no, so we have to take it easy because one day we will show how good we are.
Thanks to everybody that so friendly answers to me and hopes that everything get lighter in the future.

P.S: I want to be a doctor , yes, and here in Portugal it's very very difficult and i'm just in the highschool...

    Feb 3 2013: I'd say, try to be useful or perform a use. Often it is not what you do but how you do it.

    Relax and follow intuitions and opportunities. We are not in charge as to what happens to us so we do not control the details of our future. So do not worry about the details.

    We are only in this life for one single reason. We are here not for the sake of getting rich or famous. The one reason we are here is to develop and grow the best character we can. The rest is just details.

    Jan 29 2013: The future is not something that we all march into in lock step. It is an exploration of an unmarked territory that we have no map for.
    Whatever you think of the future...its not going to be that.
    Whatever you are planning to do as a career...you probably won't end up taking.
    What you need to do is sharpen you awareness of the world around you and jump when an opportunity briefly makes its self available to you.
    Its the same approach that everyone has taken since we came down from the trees. The successful ones know when to jump.

    Jan 29 2013: Do just as your past generations did. Hope for the best, ask yourself what you can do to make the future better and have the courage to do it.

    The present of today was an unknown future yesterday but people who stopped asking questions, stopped following others, and took the lead in learning and doing something about it made the future great.

      Jan 29 2013: Isn't doing just what past generations did what got us into this mess? Also, you seem to contradict yourself by saying, "do what past generations did" and then, "stop following others".

        Jan 30 2013: I thought I may not have to explain. But .. I meant Do the good of past generations such as hope for the best etc...

        But do not blindly follow others by not knwoing what is right from wrong....hence learn and take action...

    Jan 29 2013: there are many societies still in existance full of dreams ,intuitions,thoughts,inspirations who are able to answer dilemmas on being human. In the west we wrongly believe that cultures who practice in the belief of a collective well being ,a flourishing connection with the metaphysical of spirit and mind and an ecological realtionship with nature are failed attempts at being modern. In our collective dreams we yearn for western instituions to deliver us from. our narrow modalitty of thought as we fail to be able to rekindle our lost connections with nature. For the sake of our childrens safety,peace of mind to enter in to a state of mind that flourishes and sings to think in these modalities of ways as an adaptive imperative....try the metaphysical shamanistic dreams of connection to nature....may help(or not)

    Jan 29 2013: One idea might be always to be doing some things you are good at that also make you feel good while you are working at getting better at the things that are more challenging and sometimes frustrating.
