What is your favorite quote, and why?
A quote can say a lot about a person. I love to read quotes and try to decipher what I believe the meaning is.
My favorite quote is from the movie "The Fountain" -
"Our bodies are prisons for our souls. Our skin and blood the iron bars of confinement. But fear not. All flesh decays. Death turns all to ash. And thus, death frees every soul."
It's comforting to think this way.

John Frankendoe
It keeps me on track to my necessities and helps eliminate the excessive.

Because I like to be creative and Ideas makes money not the other way around...and also because is very important to understand ONE thing: Making "mistake" is not bad is just finding how not to do something or just checking off a step towards the real solution...applicable in any domain of life from Dating to Business to Life!

There's nothing wrong with following others but to do so without thinking about why, about making a conscious choice to do so, this is the worst thing you can do in life.

"Why is philosophy so complicated? It ought to be entirely simple. Philosophy unties the knots in our thinking that we have, in a senseless way, put there. To do this it must make movements that are just as complicated as these knots. Although the result of philosophy is simple, its method cannot be if it is to succeed. The complexity of philosophy is not a complexity of its subject matter, but of our knotted understanding." -- Ludwig Wittgenstein
"Three minutes thought would suffice to find this out; but thought is irksome and three minutes is a long time." -- A.E. Housman
"I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contained. I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins. They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God. Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things, not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago. Not one is respectable or unhappy over the whole earth." -- Walt Whitman
"If I needed anyone else's respect, I realized long ago, I wouldn't have my own. If we want to get anywhere or understand anything, respectability has to be discarded like the refuge of fear it is." -- Jed McKenna
"The unreal has no being; the real never ceases to be." -- Bhagavad Gita
"The most useful piece of learning for the uses of life is to unlearn what is untrue." -- Antisthenes

Because it's true, if you want anything out of life you're going to have to put something in, not just sit there like a stump.

I love this because it tells of the importance of good eyesight and vision and light; and the importance of being sure that what one calls 'light' is not actually darkness.
